Your Wellbeing Toolbox

Hello WE-AR crew,

The holiday season can be full of joy and kind of stressful at the same time.

Celebrating the warmer season and planning a vacation can be the greatest delight or somewhat overwhelming if you're feeling overcommitted.

We feel you, and we would like to remind you to give yourself some aroha during this time. Caring for yourself is a necessary part of caring for others - It always starts from within.

Scroll down to explore three simple yet impactful tools to decompress before the holiday season begins.

Sama Vritti Breathing Exercise
This yogic breathing exercise is also known as box-breathing or equal-length of inhalation and exhalation. The main goal of this technique is to tap into your parasympathetic nervous system and reduce mental chatter.

1. Inhale for four counts
2. Hold
3. Exhale for four counts

Yoga
The main purpose of a yoga practice is to find harmony between the mind and body through movement.

As a part of our community sustainability programme, we aim to nourish our community by bringing back free sunrise yoga in Auckland this month. We would like to invite you to join us on the 14th and 21st of December at 7 am for a morning asana practice. Save the dates - more details coming next week 🤗

Walking Barefoot in Nature
is also known as earthing. Earthing is a practice to connect your mind and body with the earth. Walking barefoot in nature has significant research-backed scientific benefits, one of which is to reduce inflammation and cortisol levels.
